Webinar: Holding a brave space in a world that feels unsafe
With Heather Plett and Fanny Matheusen
22.04.2025 – 20:00 – 23.04.2025 – 21:30The world is more and more unstable and people are insecure, anxious and feeling unsafe on many levels. Still we have to work together, live together, educate our children, care for our elders, and share the streets with our neighbours.
How do we hold space in all this insecurity? How do we create brave spaces where people are invited to say what needs to be said, express their uniqueness and feel connected to others?
In the art of holding space and the methodology of deep democracy you can find anchors to use in your coaching, facilitating, mediation, parenting, and leadership.
You are invited to join us in this two part webinar where we will generously share some of our insights.
“You can only maintain a safe space for others if you yourself are carried.”
What will you learn?
- What are safe spaces and brave spaces? And what does it mean to hijack the space?
- What are the basic principles of holding space.
- What are people’s core needs and how do we meet them as spaceholders?
- What does it mean to live in liminal times? What are the three paths of liminality?
- Where and how does the methodology of holding space and deep democracy meet each other?
Is this webinar for you?
The answer is YES if you recognize yourself in the cases below:
- You are a placeholder
- You are a coach, facilitator, leader in groups and want to know more about how to create a brave space where we can meet and hold each other through liminal times
